About

Who We Are

We are a college preparation website for youth. Project Stand-Up is a 501c3 Non-profit organization assisting students in the grades of 7th through 12th to continue on to higher education (college). Although we are primarily concerned with youth in athletics, anyone desiring to go to college can benefit from our website.

Our Mission

Our mission is to help prepare and reward more student-athletes (and their families) who want to make their dreams of a college education and lifetime achievements a reality.

What We Offer

College/sports related news, information, lessons, activities, games, webinars, tips & more.

  • Online literacy courses focusing on youth dealing with academics & behavior.
  • Assistance to athletes and future leaders who are determined to go to college and prepare for a career.
  • Scholarships, events, online tutoring and more.

Project Stand-Up, a 501c3 Non-profit organization, was founded under the leadership and direction of Dr. Elizabeth Branch, a proud grandmother of four college ballers. She has spent most of her +40 career years working with disadvantaged populations of youth in grades K-College. She has authored several Federal Grants, published educational materials, served as a Co-principal Investigator for the state funded study, “Violence Among African American Males” at Paul Quinn College in Dallas, Texas. She has served on many youth-oriented local boards and commissions.

A strong, committed group of faith based youth advocates and community leaders serve as advisors!

Presently, we focus on athletes who participate in organized basketball and volleyball sports. However, other participants and families who enjoy organized sports can benefit from our site, as well. We are a part of the Man in the Mirror’s Project Stand-Up (a 50lc3 organization). Our efforts are offered to make a positive difference in the lives of all youth, and especially those who are considered at-risk. When these youth are successful, they become the greatest role model and mentor for others who share similar backgrounds and situations in life. It is a Win! Win! situation for our youth and our community. Again, welcome and we solicit your prayers, ideas, and support!
